Prepare a print-ready PDF: booklets, N-up, and resizing
Impose pages into a fold-and-staple booklet, fit several pages per sheet, and standardize page sizes before printing.
A little page layout before you hit print saves paper and produces something that actually folds and reads correctly.
Make a booklet
Booklet mode reorders your pages into saddle-stitch order and places two per landscape sheet. Print double-sided (flip on the short edge), fold the stack in half, and staple along the fold. Because binding needs a multiple of four pages, up to three blanks may be added at the fold.
Several pages per sheet (N-up)
N-up places 2, 4, 6, or 9 source pages on each sheet in a grid — handy for handouts, contact sheets, or a compact overview. Each page is scaled to fit its cell with the aspect ratio preserved.
Standardize the size
- Resize every page to A4, Letter, or Legal in portrait or landscape.
- Fit keeps the aspect ratio (adding margins if needed); Stretch fills the page and can distort.
- Useful when a document mixes page sizes and your printer expects one.
These tools rearrange and scale whole pages — they don’t reflow or re-typeset the content.
