Grayscale PDF works on the file you upload. Adjust the options, then select Process ▸ and it runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded to a server — then shows the result in the Output panel.

- PDF file — upload a file (.pdf); it is read locally in your browser
- Resolution (scale) — choose one — 1× (screen), 2× (default), 3× (print) (default: 2× (default))
- JPG quality (0.3–1) — a value (default: "0.85")
Output
A downloadable PDF file — use the Download button in the Output panel.

- Each page is rendered to a grayscale image and rebuilt, so selectable text becomes an image (like the rasterized compress modes).

Does this keep the text selectable?
No — pages are converted to grayscale images. If you need selectable text, keep the original or use a text-based tool.
Will the file get smaller?
Usually, for color-heavy pages — grayscale JPEGs are smaller than color. Text-only PDFs may not shrink much.
