{ } Resolution and quality

  • 1× renders at 72 dpi — an A4 page becomes 595 × 842 pixels, enough for a preview or a chat message.
  • 2× (default) gives 1190 × 1684 pixels for A4 — sharp on screens and fine for most sharing.
  • 3× gives 1785 × 2526 pixels for A4, suitable for printing.
  • JPG quality runs from 0.3 to 1. The default 0.85 keeps text edges clean at a fraction of the size of quality 1.

{ } Pages, naming and the ZIP

  • Leave Pages blank to convert everything, or type 1-3,5 to convert only those.
  • A single page downloads directly as page-N.jpg; two or more pages are packed into pdf-jpg.zip as page-001.jpg, page-002.jpg and so on.

{ } Colour and background

Pages are painted onto a white background before encoding, because JPG has no transparency — a page with no background fill comes out white, not black. Colours are rendered as a PDF viewer would display them on screen.

{ } What this is not

It renders whole pages. To pull the original photos or logos out of a PDF at their native resolution, use Extract Images from PDF. For lossless output, use PDF to PNG.

{ } Limits

  • Rendering happens page by page in your browser; a 100-page document at 3× takes a while and needs memory for each page image.
  • Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first.

{ } How it works

PDF to JPG works on the file you upload. Adjust the options, then select Process ▸ and it runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded to a server — then shows the result in the Output panel.

Inputs

  • PDF file — upload a file (.pdf); it is read locally in your browser
  • Resolution (scale) — choose one — 1× (screen), 2× (default), 3× (print) (default: 2× (default))
  • Pages (blank = all, e.g. 1-3,5) — a value
  • JPG quality (0.3–1) — a value (default: "0.85")

Output

A downloadable JPG file — use the Download button in the Output panel.

  • This renders whole pages to images — it does not pull out embedded images (use Extract Images for that).

Is my data uploaded to a server?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser — your files never leave your device.

Can I process more than one file at once?

How is this different from Extract Images?

PDF to JPG paints each page as an image; Extract Images pulls the original embedded photos out of the file.
